Get Involved as Alumni

There are many ways to get involved with the CEI Alumni community, whether you’re just beginning your journey or looking to contribute your experience. You can join the Junior Alumni to support upcoming conferences and projects, or connect with the Senior Alumni Network to mentor, collaborate, and help shape CEI’s long-term vision. Explore the options below to find the path that fits you best.

Junior Alumni

Junior Alumni support the annual CEI Conference by working with the host team, senior alumni, and students to create an engaging experience. They are elected every year and help guide participants, contribute to planning, and keep the CEI spirit alive year-round.

Junior Alumni assist the host team and senior alumni to ensure the CEI Conference is well-organized, smooth-running, and impactful for all participants.

They help students connect, participate actively, and feel welcomed, serving as positive role models and supporting them throughout the conference.

Junior Alumni take part in delivering sessions and activities, including leading educational workshops and helping execute assigned parts of the program.

Beyond the conference, they keep the CEI spirit alive, contribute fresh ideas for future activities, and develop independent environmental projects showcased in the Global Forum.

Junior Alumni Application Process

Step 1 - Submit Your Application

Explain why you would be a strong Junior Alumni candidate and describe your workshop idea.

NOTE: Applications for 2026 are now closed

Step 2 - Intake Conversation

After applications close, you’ll be invited to a short intake conversation with the Senior Alumni.

Step 3 - Selection Process

The host will review all applications and select several Junior Alumni before the end of 2025.

Step 4 - If You Are Selected

If chosen as a Junior Alumni:

You will receive support to attend the conference.

CEI may cover up to 50% of your airfare.

Your conference fee will be waived.

Step 5 - Hybrid Conference Roles

The upcoming conference will be hybrid. We are looking for Junior Alumni who can:

Assist in person and/or Assist virtually
(Note: Physical attendance is not guaranteed.)

Step 6 - If You Don’t Meet All Requirements

You are still encouraged to apply using the same application form.
We review every application and aim to include anyone enthusiastic about helping.
Additionally, applications for Young Reporters will open soon, which may also interest you.

The Senior Alumni Network is a community of

former CEI participants

who stay actively involved in promoting the Caretaker spirit and environmental stewardship year-round.
